Frequently Asked Questions

Congratulations! We're here to answer any questions you might have

What is the payroll process?

For temporary work, you will need to have your timesheet approved and then you will be paid weekly in arrears – receiving your payslip on the Wednesday after the work week and pay in the bank on Friday.

When and where do I send my timesheet?

Please send your timesheet as soon as possible – you will not be paid if your timesheet is not received and approved by 12 noon on the Tuesday prior to payment.

You must send your timesheet by the approved method for your client, which will be notified to you. This may be by email, digitally, by Whatsapp/sms, or it may be a self-billing agreement, in which case, you can sit tight.

How do I request holiday and holiday pay?

To request holiday pay you must email  finance@thinkworkforce.co.uk. We will inform you how much you have been eligible and then add the number of days you request payment to your weekly payslip.

How will the client know who I am?

We inform the client of who you are before you arrive. When you get there state your name and tell them you are from ThinkWorkforce.

What is the dress code for the warehouse?

You must have safety boots - this is a requirement for all clients. If you have a high vis wear it, if not they can be provided. Other than that, wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.

What do I do when I am late/absent/ill? Do I call you or the client?

If you have an issue please get in touch with us as soon as possible. During office hours (weekdays 08.30-18.00) please call us on +44 (0) 208 089 8008.  and if it is out of hours please call us on +44 (0) 208 089 8008.  Please Call rather than message, so we ensure that we get the message and we can speak to the client as soon as possible.

How will I know where to go?

We will send you the address and any additional directions in the starter email once we have you booked in for work.

Will my DBS from my previous job still work?

Yes but only if it is on the update service. If it's currently not, it can be uploaded to the update service 14 days after you receive the certificate.

What's the difference between an enhanced and standard DBS?

An enhanced DBS check has all the information contained in a standard DBS check. However, with an enhanced check, an employer can also request to see whether a potential or current employee is listed on the Children's Barred List or Adult First list.
